AG Barr reports strong Sales

A fizzing performance over Christmas has helped the maker of Irn-Bru to report strong sales in the final three months of the year.
Shares in AG Barr, which makes Irn-Bru, Rubicon and Tizer drinks, closed 12p, or 2.3 per cent, higher on 527½p after it gave upbeat guidance that it expected fourth-quarter revenue growth in excess of 2.5 per cent, thanks to the festive period. The soft drinks maker, which is based in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, and is led by Roger White, the chief executive, said that investment in its brands had helped to sustain strong sales.
