Hygiene Contract Manager

Herefordshire - Salary £35,000 pa to £40,000 pa + Pension - Permanent role

The Role

The role of Hygiene Contract Manager will involve the provision of hygiene and cleaning services at a food manufacturing site in Herefordshire. The Hygiene Contract Manager appointed will ensure cleaning schedules and standards are maintained whilst supervising a team of 12 staff within the Hygiene department.
 
There will be responsibility for a broad range of activities, including day-to-day Hygiene management throughout the process area, manage and maintain cleaning and hygiene schedules, cleaning of overheads, drain and floor cleaning, office cleaning, operational effectiveness, budgetary responsibility, identify and develop key personnel, implement staff training requirements, ensure service level agreements are met and coordinate Hygiene contractor activities.   
 
Other duties to be undertaken by the Hygiene Contact Manager will include preparing for hygiene audit inspections and effective management of a team of 12 operatives, ensuring cleaning schedules are adhered to (daily & weekly) and all necessary documentation is completed to ensure legal compliance and In-house standards are surpassed.
 
The Person

We are seeking to appoint a strong, professional character with the determination to achieve excellence and be able to motivate a team. All applicants should have a minimum of 2 years proven management experience within the food industry, gained as either a Hygiene Manager or Supervisor within a challenging environment. An IOSH qualification or Advanced Food Hygiene certificate would be beneficial but not essential.   
 
This is a day shift role where hours are typically 07.30 to 16.30, and includes weekend work. The Hygiene Contract Manager should also be prepared to work bank holidays, when required. This is a Permanent vacancy. Ref 3325
