The Company

Operating from multiple sites, this leading machinery company has embedded itself within many sectors of the food industry around the globe and consistently aims to offer engineering excellence in the solutions they provide from design, installation and commissioning through to high-end aftermarket support. 

The Role

We are seeking applications from individuals with specific engineering experience across the Confectionery and Snacks sectors. They must also have a strong bias towards Mechanical or Process Engineering.

The Engineering & Applications Manager is ultimately responsible for the engineering development and growth of the company’s equipment range within the Confectionery & Snacks sector.  This will be achieved through the continuous communication with current and potential customers to identify on-going requirements and business opportunities; Investigating new technology advances, which could further enhance the equipment range; Leading development and product innovation projects; Interact with design teams on product designs; endorsing equipment suitability for the proposed applications; The advancement of equipment standard policies and offering technical support to the sales team. The Engineering & Applications Manager will also be required to travel regularly to meet clients, contractors and suppliers both in the UK and overseas.

The Person

Suitable applicants will be qualified to a minimum of HNC/HND within a relevant engineering discipline and can demonstrate excellent project management experience working in a food production or food machinery manufacturing environment.  They will be able to quickly diagnose production problems and recognise sustainable solutions and motivate teams/departments and customers to buy in to new concepts. Excellent communication skills and the willingness to travel are also expected. Ref:2943
