Permanent Afternoon Shift - Monday to Friday
Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias) role to work within a fast paced Food Manufacturing environment. The individual appointed will cover engineering duties across production/packaging lines, automated packaging machinery, fillers, metal detection, checkweighers, labelling, form-fill-and-seal, mixers, tanks, vessels.
The Maintenance Engineer will focus on Planned Preventative Maintenance, Breakdowns, PLC Fault-finding, Proactive Engineering, and will implement engineering solutions that will lead to increased machine performance. There will also be an opportunity to get involved with Engineering Projects, Continuous Improvement, and Upgrading Machinery.
Further duties will include the carrying out of machinery diagnostics to eliminate reoccurring faults, initiate plant and machinery upgrades, make adjustments that will optimise machine performance and utilisation, work to planned maintenance schedules, fault-find on a wide variety of plant and machinery.
Multi Skilled but with an electrical bias, the jobholder will have hands-on involvement with PLC's (Siemens, Allen Bradley), single and 3 phase motors, relay and contactor wiring, motor drives, pneumatics, hydraulics.
The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer appointed will have proven fault-finding expertise and this position would suit a shift engineer or maintenance engineer with experience in the Food Manufacturing industry, or similar fast-paced FMCG Manufacturing environment. Applicants will hold 18th edition electrical qualification (preferable). Ref 3173
