Production Line Leaders (Multiple roles available)

Salary £26000 pa - £28,000 pa - Surrey 

Days and Nights rotating

A successful, profitable and expanding organisation operating within the Produce sector. With a track record in supplying products to the Major Multiple Retailers, this organisation have an immediate requirement for experienced Production Line Leaders to work within the Packhouse.

The Role 

Working Day and Night Shift (a week or two on Days, followed by a week on Nights), the individual appointed will have responsibility for running the Production Lines efficiently and will ensure that Production staff are developed to the optimal level and their time is utilized to maximum affect. 

The Production Line Leaders will maintain high levels of Quality and Health & Safety and low levels of Waste. They will record Production data accurately and will get involved with improvement initiatives aimed at reducing cost and improving Production performance. There will be a requirement to communicate effectively with both the Packhouse Manager and team of Production Operatives. The Line Leaders will monitor Production volumes to meet order requirements for Retail customers and ensure service levels are in line with expectations. The Production Line Leaders will lead Production changeovers and ensure the right Labels are being used on Production runs.There will be a requirement to report any issues with Machinery and Packaging equipment, and record holidays and hours worked by the Production team. 

The Person 

We are seeking applications from candidates who have worked in similar roles within the Produce sector or with short shelf-life products. Some level of Supervisory experience and a track record in meeting targets is also expected. An understanding of Continuous Improvement, costs and margins would also be beneficial.

The Salary level is Salary £26000 pa - £28,000 pa depending on experience. This will be paid weekly initially until you have passed your 1-month Probation period at which point you will be paid Monthly. Ref 3320
