QA Supervisor

QA Supervisor – West Midlands – to £35,000 pa

A leading food manufacturer who can name Tesco, Morrison and Asda as customers.

The Role

Hours: 6-2, 2-10, Monday to Friday

This role will involve managing the activities of a team of QA Technicians, ensuring the safety, quality and legality of products manufactured on Shift. The jobholder will undertake and supervise a range of Quality tasks within the Production area, including GMP Audits, QAS checks, Product & Process Control, HACCP Audits and will also get involved in NPD projects including trials and the transfer of products into full-scale manufacturing.

The QA Supervisor will be involved with managing and maintaining BRC Accreditation and will undertake investigations into non-conformance and put corrective actions into place. There will be involvement in Microbiological work such as product and swab collection and checks on incoming raw materials.

The Quality Supervisor will oversee compliance issues and ensure that Food Safety standards are implemented and are being observed within the production area. The Quality Supervisor will induct and train Quality Technicians and there will also be a requirement to liaise with Retailer Technical teams and Customers.

The Person

The individual who takes this role on is required to be self-motivated, and able to supervise and prioritise the workload of a small QA team. A good understanding of the Food manufacturing industry and experience of working within the Quality function at Supervisor / Team Leader level is expected. Ref 3325

The Salary for this role is £33,000 pa - £35,000 pa depending on experience. This role is based in the Birmingham area.
