A small and friendly Food Manufacturing business offering a supportive environment is looking to appoint a Quality Administrator to support the day-to-day function of the Quality department, ensuring ongoing Food Safety compliance.
The Role
Days Monday to Friday
The Quality Administrator will support the business by ensuring all Technical and Quality related documentation is complete and up-to-date. They will assist with the implementation of the site quality management system, track supplier evaluations and approvals, and manage packaging approvals and amendments. Using a methodical well organized approached, the Quality Administrator will assist in managing paperwork for the internal audit programme, log customer complaints and get involved with investigations, respond to customer queries by email and ensure staff have completed all quality-related training modules.
There will be a requirement to maintain the schedule of audits such as GMP, Process, Hygiene and Third Party, and support the Quality Supervisor in preparation for Audits. The jobholder will conduct periodic reviews to ensure the business stays on the right side of current and new legislation, and review and coordinate activities relating to the HACCP system. When dealing with Customer issues, the Quality Administrator will ensure corrective and preventative actions are recorded, reviewed and information is cascaded down to other departments such as Production and Logistics. They will also review Working Practices to ensure both internal and external standards are being met.
The Person
We are looking for someone who has gained experience from within a Technical/Quality team within the Food Manufacturing sector and therefore understands the demands and key focus for the Quality function. Also, someone who enjoys, and is good at, organizing and maintaining documents in both paper and database form. As this is largely an office-based role, computer skills are essential, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Ref 3327
The Salary for this role is £27,500 pa - £29,000 pa depending on experience.
