A position is available for a Technical Administrator, working for a food manufacturer, based at a modern site in North London. This is a great opportunity to take on a new challenge and there is considerable scope for the jobholder to take on additional responsibilities or develop their career into a Specifications Technologist.

The Role

This position will focus on the development of Technical Systems and procedures and key tasks include the coordination and monitoring of all documentation associated with Recipe Lists and Specifications. Key to this role is owning all Technical documentation and maintaining the validity and integrity of the information, such as completing and maintaining Quality Attribute sheets, checking Artwork and Pack copy.

The Technical Administrator will support the Specifications Technologist with Finished Product Specifications, Ingredient Specifications and will provide Technical information to Retail customers. A thorough knowledge of BRC and HACCP is also essential, combined with experience of completing specification information for pre-packed goods in line with Retailer systems such as: Morrisons Enterprise, Tesco TTL, Hamilton and Grant, Asda Aspect, M&S Find, Sainsbury Inspire, Aldi Exova, Co-op Core, Iceland Icehub.

There will be responsibility for a broad range of Technical, Traceability and Compliance documentation and the ‘pulling together’ of all Technical and Product related paperwork. The Technical Administrator will assist the Quality/Technical team in preparation for Audits and support the Commercial team by supplying Technical information. There will be a lot of inter-department working, and therefore excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills are required. 

The Person

This position will suit an individual who is systematic in their approach, experienced and trained in internal and external audits with an understanding of Retailer Technical/Specification Portals. A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working within a Technical team at a Food Manufacturing site is also expected. Ref 3323
