Technical Assistant - Salary £30,000 pa

12-Month Fixed Term - Northants

An innovative and profitable food manufacturer has an immediate opportunity for a Technical Assistant to take on a wide range of duties, including direct contact with customers and raw material suppliers. The role is for a fixed-term of 12-months to cover a period of absence.

The Role

Working Days, Monday to Friday, this is an interesting opportunity for someone to work as part of a small but cohesive Quality team and undertake a variety of Quality & Technical duties. A large part of the role will involve conducting Product Assessments and Testing, dealing with customer enquiries, complaint handling and implementing corrective actions.

Other duties include: Co-ordinating the Supplier audit programme, co-ordinate the non-conformance system, be involved in the Supplier Approval process, liaise with suppliers and customers with respect to Quality issues, organise microbiological sampling of raw materials and finished products and interpret results. Further duties will cover the maintenance of the Supplier Database for Raw Materials and Packaging, and assess quality of new products both pre and post launch as part of the NPD Process.

Person

We seek an individual who is well organised, competent at using MS Excel, is used to meeting deadlines and has a minimum of 18 months experience in a similar role with a Food Manufacturing business. Ref 3328
