After graduating with a BSc (Hons) degree, Chris Burns commenced his career in professional recruitment in the mid 1990’s, gaining a broad range of experience working for Executive recruiters within Manufacturing and more specifically, Food Manufacturing. Chris founded Food Careers in 2002 with a vision to offer a specialised bespoke recruitment service at a time when specialist Food & Drink recruiters were few and far between.
Today, Chris focuses on mid-to-senior level Operational and Commercial appointments working with a diverse range of Food & Drink clients. Chris’s core strength is his encyclopedic knowledge of those employed within the Food & Drink industry and his ability to pull the proverbial rabbit out of the hat for his clients.

Jo Milne’s career in recruitment commenced in the late 1990’s when she took a role as PA to the Director of a leading North West recruitment consultancy that provides workforce management and recruitment for the Manufacturing sector. An English graduate, Jo commenced her role with Food Careers in 2016, joining from the Legal profession. Jo has a wide remit of responsibilities, including, Processes and Systems, Research, Data Analysis, Candidate Engagement and Marketing.
Having developed a sophisticated understanding of the Food & Drink sector, Jo understands what clients are looking for in prospective candidates and brings new insights and a fresh perspective to the business. Outside of work, Jo enjoys family life and a wide variety of Literature.
